The Vampire Rave Status System |
There are special privileges associated with certain levels. The top three positions are administrator positions.
Members with these positions administer and maintain this website. For a full listing of the Status
Levels (and the number of Vampire Rave members at each level) click here.
Certain members have a management position, yet still retain their Vampire Rave Status. These members manage specific areas of
Vampire Rave.
Acolyte
Acolyte's are Vampire Rave members who have agreed to assist new members with site questions or problems. If you have a question,
submit it via the help page and an Acolyte will respond.
If you are interested in becoming an Acolyte, you can apply at Dark Network site
Vampire Rave. You must be at least level 18
to apply.
Dominar
A Dominar is a Forum and Chat Administrator. Dominar's are appointed
by The Prince.
Procurator
A Procurator assists in the management of the Vampire Rave Database. Procurator's are appointed
by The Prince.
Sentoran
A Sentoran is a Profile, Portfolio, and Journal Administrator. Sentoran's are appointed
by The Prince.
Consul
A Consul is a special, reserved position. It is not a position of ascendency. In most cases, a Consul is a
former Vampire Rave Administrator. A Consul has all powers of Acolyte, Dominar, Procurator, and Sentoran.
Consul's are appointed by The Prince.
Peacekeeper and Regent
On most Dark Network sites these positions are the same. On Vampire Rave,
these positions have different powers. A Peacekeeper is known as a Master Vampire on
Vampire Rave. Master Vampires run Vampire Rave Houses. Vampire Rave Regents administer
Vampire Rave Covens.
Each are appointed
by The Prince.

Advancement
When you sign up for a free Vampire Rave account, the system tracks your site usage. It keeps track of how many pages you've
viewed and how much time you've spent here. As you spend more time here your status increases. A commonly asked question,
is How much time do I have to spend on the site to advance to level _______ ?
There is no one answer to this question. The Vampire Rave Status System is very complex. A number of things are taken into
consideration. Your overall status is based upon the following:
50% is based upon your Time Spent
30% is based upon your Pages Viewed
10% is based upon your Database Submissions
10% is based upon the Things you have Rated
A bonus is applied reflecting how many members you have referred to Vampire Rave.
This means where one user at a certain level viewed X number of pages to advance to level X,
another user may require more or less page views to reach the same level.
The highest level a regular member can reach is level 28.

Additionally, the higher your status the more weight your ratings will carry throughout the site. The power of your
ratings is directly proportional to your level. As an example, a level 10 rating is worth 10 times the rating of a
level 1 member.

Status Tables
Below are the requirements for each Status Level. Remember that your total Status is a combination of all 4 tables.
It is possible to have numeric levels higher than 28, however the highest non-management Status level is level 28.
Having a level greater than 28 in one category will help offset deficiency in another category.

Referral Bonus
Referral bonus works a little differently. You receive points based on the level of the person(s)
you have referred to Vampire Rave. To prevent referral fraud, no points are awarded for members referred who are level 3 or less.
As the status of your referrals grow, so will your referral bonus.
Referral points are only awarded for active Vampire Rave referrals. If your referrals leave Vampire Rave you will no longer receive
points for referring them.

Referral points are double for any referral of yours that is a Vampire Rave Premium Member.
Referral Bonus Modifier
After the total point value of all your referrals is computed, a bonus modifier is applied to your status. This modifier is applied
after your status is computed. This modifier will become more valuable as your status increases as it is a percentage modification.
1% of level 10 is .1 whereas 1% of level 20 is .2. The same 1% modification yields higher results for members of
higher status.
Your modifier is computed by multiplying your referral points times .0001. Some examples:
100 referral points equals a modifier of .01.
Your Status level is computed to be 15.2 (level 15 with 20% completed).
Your referral modifier is applied: 15.2 x 1.01 = 15.35.
Your new level is 15 with 35% completed.
500 referral points equals a modifier of .05.
Your Status level is computed to be 21.5 (level 20 with 50% completed).
Your referral modifier is applied: 21.5 x 1.05 = 22.58.
Your new level is 22 with 58% completed.
The maximum referral bonus you can achieve is 10%.
